New Bern Project

What was done...

This project was a 20'x20' beautiful piece of artwork added onto a home. Our crew created this from scratch from the ground to the roof. To say the client was satisfied may be an understatement. It always brings joy to our hearts to see the dreams of one of our clients come true right before our eyes. Check out the photos above for a glimpse of what we accomplished!

Laundry Room Full Remodel

What was done...

We all know a client's worst nightmare is to start a simple job only to find a larger problem lurking beneath the surface. This was unfortunately the case at this job. When doing a simple repair to the floor, mold and damage were found which caused us to have to do a full remodel. We did our best to not only help this client, but to help them have a better Laundry area than they could have ever imagined! Check out the pictures above and see how you think we did!

Kitchen Complete Remodel

What was done...

This project started out as a small remodel, but many things can lurk beneath the surface. In this case, there was a lot of mold and rot that needed to be taken care of. This went from a minor facelift to a surgical procedure. The mold was removed and the walls and cabinets redone. The counters are on the way! The walls were put back on and, in the process, the remodel was complete! Check out the pictures above and see how deep we went with this one!

Lentfert Project, Wilmington, NC

What was done...

This project consisted of a full demolition and rebuild of everything but the roof, ceiling, framework and pillars. As seen in some of the above pictures, the opening toward the ceiling on the back side of the porch was enclosed and painted. The ceiling and walls of the structure were all painted and new ceiling fans were installed. We even added unique compass decals on the ceiling above the fans. We constructed an open and beautiful landing with amazing stairs for this project. In preparation for a future breezeway project, 8x8x16s were tied to this landing design for ease of continuing the project. We also installed board and batten (Hardie Board) on the exterior of the structure and finished it with the desired paint.

The dated lattice was replaced with TimberTech® AZEK 1x8 fascia boards; a very stylish solution to keep the dogs and other animals from going under the deck. The floor of the deck is also TimberTech® AZEK. This particular composite decking was created for salt water docks, and with something of that quality we decided to create a picture frame design to enclose it for the best look. The rails are once again TimberTech® AZEK, with drink rails. Sparing no expense for their dream porch, the clients decided to have custom-ordered doors and modified them to to sit inside the 6x6 pillars rather than outside for the extra touch.

The 6x6 pillars took some thought, but we finally decided to wrap them in marine grade plywood then stain it with marine grade wood stain. These custom built, handmade cases turned out amazing and with 45 degree cuts the corners lined up flawlessly and after a little bit of sanding they appear nothing short of perfect. Those big beautiful screens are from SCREENEZE® with a coated steal tract for the screen to be locked into. You can bet these screens wont sag and the tract won't deteriorate over time. Most of these spans are 8x8, but these SCREENEZE® systems work great in large openings and their appearance is second to none!

With a project this nice, the client requested top of the line quality. With the utilization of marine grade materials, this home nestled in Masonboro Sound of North Carolina will be protected from all of the elements. Our goal was to build something that mother nature could not take away and we believe we succeeded. Built to withstand the batter of salt water and winds, even the nails, screws, and bolts are 316 stainless steal. Just another way that 828 Construction Services, LLC went above and beyond for another client.
